Friends Meeting House on Silverwell street has been home to Bolton Quakers for over 45 years, although Quakers have had a proud history of meeting around Bolton since 1652.  On Sunday the meeting house opens at 10 am, with the meeting for worship starting at 10:30 am and lasting for one hour. The third Sunday of the month is when the meeting for worship is followed by a shared lunch. As the Sunday meeting settles down and is ready to start the Quakers gather together in silent worship, with individuals standing to speak as when they feel they have been inspired to share their personal ministry.
